Els Fogons de l´Alt Urgell

Throughout history, the people of the Pyrenees have lived in harmony with their surroundings: with the earth, with water, with animals… With nature, basically.

This connection gave rise to lifestyles that remained largely unaltered well into the mid-twentieth century. Since then, the mountain regions have changed a lot. Nonetheless, the Pyrenees’ newest generations of inhabitants are heirs to this ancient popular culture, which, luckily, is resisting disappearance.
